Principal's Report
Congratulations to our Stage 1 and 2 Outdoor Education students for braving the weather to undertake their first bushwalking expedition. They departed on Tuesday morning in perfect hiking weather to then have to face the cold front that swept through the state on Tuesday. We look forward to hearing stories of their adventures upon their return. Luke Bartlett’s efforts in making this camp go ahead despite all of the challenges this year, is to be commended.
Congratulations also to Leon Hams who has accepted the position of permanent Farm Manager. His enthusiasm and passion for our school farm makes him a valuable member of the staff. This week the hard work of Nicola Wright, Leon and the students will be put on show when they participate in a version of the Kadina Show with the goats and cattle. With so many cancellations this year it is exciting to have our first competition at last.
A Student Free Day on September 4th was approved by the Governing Council this week. Staff will be working on numeracy, literacy and wellbeing as part of our Site Improvement Plan.
