With the end of the term fast approaching it is time to reflect on what we have achieved. If you are on Facebook you may well have already read about our exceptional results with our steers, wethers and goats. Despite the disappointment of the Royal Adelaide Show being cancelled, there have still been a variety of competitions we were able to enter. Technology has been used for the Virtual Led Steer competitions through the Stock Journal. The Royal Show still had a carcase competition for our steers and the schools were able to participate in the merino wether competition.

I would like to thank all of the students for putting in the effort towards the animals, ensuring they were thoroughly prepared for all of the competitions. Nicola Wright and Leon Hams have joined forces this year for the first time to create a formidable team with extensive knowledge of livestock and a passion for giving our students these incredible opportunities and chances for success. Thank you. A huge thank you to all of the livestock providers who supported our school by providing sheep, goats and steers.

Next week we will be having our annual Fun Run, however, this year we will have the added excitement of a Colour Run and fundraiser. Students are asked to wear a white shirt if they would like to be coloured. Fundraising has been going quite well ($2500) but now is the time to make a last dash and see if we can hit the $4000 as a school. Students are asked to share their profile to collect donations. With very little fundraising opportunities this year we are hoping that our families will be able to support our efforts in this event.

Our Year 12 students have only 3 weeks of formal lessons left before the final assessments are completed and they begin the next chapter of their lives. We strongly encourage them all to make the best use of the time they have left to complete tasks to the best of their ability and leave nothing to chance in these final preparations.
