Year 8 & 9 Tag Rugby Carnival
The Gladstone High School Year 8 and 9 students participated in an all-day tag rugby carnival, on Thursday 29th of October. Students travelled to Jamestown Community School to play other MNSEC teams.
All students demonstrated sound teamwork and thoroughly enjoyed the day meeting new people and learning new skills. All teams won a few games throughout the day, with one boys team making the finals, however unfortunately no Gladstone team made the grandfinal.
The students enjoyed their time and developed their knowledge and understanding of the skills, techniques and tactics used within tag rugby, where they will transfer their knowledge to further contexts of life.

MNSEC Cricket Carnival Preparation
In preparation for the MNSEC Cricket Carnival, the Year 8’s and 9’s are practising their skills and tactics in Physical Education. In our first lesson of cricket, Mr Bartlett and Miss Caputo combined the two Year 9 classes to practise hand-eye coordination in team activities. Students will continue to practise cricket in PE until the carnival in Week 9.
