Principal's Report
Next Tuesday and Wednesday we will be involved in an External School Review with Rob McLaren and Liam Whitwell. They would like to meet with a small group of parents on Wednesday morning at 8.50am – 9.35am. A couple of Governing Council members have already volunteered, however, we are keen to have a few more join the group. You do not need to prepare for the meeting. If you would be keen to come in and share your views of how teachers support students in their learning and the partnerships that are developed with parents to improve student learning we would appreciate you letting the school know by Tuesday 17th November.
I would like to acknowledge our Year 11 student leaders, Tanisha Wakefield, Tyrell Crosby-Woods and Max Crouch, who represented our school at the Remembrance Day Ceremony.
Over the last few weeks Stephen Bosch, Asia Brand, Max Flowers and I have visited the primary schools to meet with the Year 7’s who will be starting here next year. It was a great opportunity to discuss what they could expect and for them to ask questions of Asia and Max, who were able to confidently speak about their experiences of starting high school.
We are busy finalising subject choices for students as well as class sizes for 2021. If there any changes to enrolments please let us know as soon as possible so that we can accommodate these.
Jackie McAllister and Nicola Ettridge have been working very hard to get the school magazine finalised and ready for printing. Despite a very different year with school activities the magazine is certainly full of photos and stories of the year and will be a wonderful memento of 2020.
