In many ways, Athletics Day was a tremendous example of the strength of a team and the achievements that are possible.

Helping the Under 14 Sullivan girls to fill their events highlighted the commitment of Sullivan team members to fill all of their events, and have reserves in place wherever possible. The willingness of the students to fill the team games and support each other certainly helped Sullivan to victory. Staff put in extra hours in the lead up to the day, ensuring the oval was prepared and lanes and events were marked out. A 7.30am start on Friday morning to get the shades put up at each event and for the final preparations was representative of the team work of all staff in supporting this whole school event. Thank you to the parents and students who helped during the day on events, with timing and in the canteen to make the day such a success.

We now look ahead to next Tuesday for MNSEC Athletics day at Jamestown, with a great team spirit from the whole school.

Next Tuesday evening we have a Governing Council meeting and we are still looking for some parents to join. If you are interested please feel free to contact the school or Kathryn Hansen on 0438 363 123.

Within the next few weeks we are expecting to start grape picking, another whole school activity. Parent volunteers are always welcome, needed and very much appreciated. Keep an eye out for a flyer once we know when the Baume (sugar content) of the grapes is at its optimum.
