PRINCIPALS NEWS
MNSEC Athletics
Congratulations to all of our competitors at MNSEC Athletics last week. Again it was so pleasing to see students step up, to compete in events after there were some unavoidable withdrawals, to ensure we filled as many events as possible. The Year 6/7 students from all 4 of our feeder primary schools excelled to take out the Year 6/7 trophy with Lily Merkel breaking a record in the High Jump. Fantastic work.
Governing Council
We still have some vacancies on our Governing Council for the year and are encouraging any interested parents to join. The time commitment is two meetings per term and all executive roles have already been filled. Please consider if you may be able to volunteer on this group as this is where you get to know first-hand what is happening both at GHS and in education in general, as well as help to have an impact on your child’s education.
Encounter Youth
This week we have been fortunate to have Encounter Youth come and speak to each of the year levels about a range of issues but largely about keeping yourself and your friends safe, rights and responsibilities and communication.
Interviews and Reports
Reports will be coming home on Tuesday 6th April with parent/teacher/student interviews to be held on Wednesday 7th April. Please take this opportunity to meet with your child’s teachers to discuss their progress.
