YEAR 12 RETREAT
For the first time at Gladstone High School the Year 12’s participated in a retreat travelling to Woodhouse Activity Centre from the 30th June to the 2nd of July.
The year 12 retreat was designed to help the students break away from the stress or pressures of school and step back to revaluate their schooling and make a plan for the remainder of the year. Students had the opportunity to show growth in areas such as self-confidence, independence, resilience and social awareness, whilst exploring and learning new skills. Activities included Reflection and Team Building, Challenge Hill, Tube Slides, Laser Skirmish, The Labyrinth (Maze), Disc Golf, Nature Walks/ Hiking Trails and Crafts.
Student were able to leave this retreat refreshed and ready to conquer their final term of school! It is hoped the retreat will support student success in Year 12.
