On the 28^th of October the year eights and nines departed to Jamestown school oval for tag rugby. The day got off to a windy start with our shelter nearly blowing over before we got it up, but we pushed through and continued setting up. It took a while for the umpires to explain the rules but once they did, we were off and playing, with Gladstone 1 playing the first game of the day. Throughout the day we lost a lot of players due to injury, so we ended up combining two of the boys’ teams. There were some great performances with one of the boys’ teams making it all the way through to the grand final. It was a close game, but Gladstone managed to pull through and win the game. Overall, it was a great day! The girls’ teams won a few games throughout the day and demonstrated great sportsmanship throughout all their games.

I’d like to thank all the teachers, bus drivers and helpers that made the day possible and Jamestown Community School for hosting the day.
