PRINCIPALS NEWS
As the year rapidly comes to a close we are starting to finalise staffing details. We are very pleased to announce that due to an increase in enrolments, particularly at year 10 level we are now able to create two classes for each of the years 7- 10 in 2022. We will now welcome Scott Watson to the staff next year.
Planting of the amphitheatre area will begin next week, which fits in very well with the rainfall this week. Please stay tuned as we may try and fit in a working bee before the end of the year to get it all planted and mulched.
Despite the weather yesterday our year 11 student leaders participated in the Remembrance Day ceremony at the Town Hall. The rest of the school were involved in an assembly organised by staff and students. This was very well received and students certainly walked away with a greater appreciation of the significance of the day.
Year 11’s are heading into their last couple of weeks at school with end of semester exams and tests next week followed by a week of introductory lessons, first aid, white card training and Defensive Driving. Students will also be supported during this week to complete their Research Project so they can start year 12 with this subject completed.
A variety of other events and activities are happening before the end of the year and I do encourage students to make the most of the opportunities made available to them.
