Principal’s News
In our constantly changing environment I would like to acknowledge the work of our staff and the students. It continues to be business as usual for our classes and the focus has been on providing an environment that is as safe as possible where the curriculum is flexible and accommodates any changes that are required.
Our staff have been increasingly using Sentral to upload documents and work is being undertaken to allow for students to meet using Microsoft teams. Many teachers have already been incorporating that technology in their classes to allow for student’s flexible timetables to allow for School Based Apprenticeships and VET courses.
The Department for Education has also released a new resource for teachers and families to access. If your children are at home there is a wealth of information that will continue to grow and develop over the coming weeks. The link is https://www.education.sa.gov.au/our-learning-sa
Parent teacher student interviews will continue on Tuesday 7th April. Please book your times on Sentral or call the school make a time. Teachers will then call you at the allocated time and have the interviews over the phone.
I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate one of our year 12’s Tia Waters. A few weeks ago Tia attended a Rural Ambassador Regional Final in the South East. At this dinner Tia was required to participate in an interview and also to respond to a question in front of the guests. It is with great pleasure that we can congratulate Tia on being a winner of the Regional Young Rural Ambassador Award for the South East Show Society and she now will go onto the State Final.
