ACE Program - Judy Crosby & Kate Seidel

This Term, in week 2, our Aboriginal learners in Year 10 identified a specific industry of interest and undertook a week of ‘Industry Immersion’.
ACE empowers Aboriginal young people to develop the skills and knowledge required to make informed decisions about their future.
Gavin Obrien and Lucy Farrows participated in trades around construction for the week. They were able to explore skills required for the pathway. They were able to ask and confidently seek further knowledge in a culturally safe space through Aboriginal Pathways.
From the first steps of Year 10 to Year 11, then into Year 12 and beyond, Aboriginal Pathways allows our young people to confidently navigate the complex pathways beyond school, to employment, higher education and further training. ACE and the SACE ACE is accredited through SACE as a preapproved program that attracts 10 Stage 1 Community Learning credits.
