Principal's Report
With many restrictions being lifted in the near future we are looking forward to having students participating in a broader range of activities. Students are already actively attempting to organise their Work Experience placements for later in the year and camps and excursions are now being organised.
The canteen is now able to accept volunteers as of Monday, so for any parents who would like to make themselves available in the canteen I am sure that would be appreciated. Please call the school to let us know when you could come in and help.
Reports will be going home next Monday for all students. Please feel free to contact the school and make an appointment to meet with any of your child’s teachers if you would like to discuss their progress for the year so far.
Next Tuesday afternoon we have the Year 8/9 3-way conferences where the students are able reflect on their learning styles, literacy and numeracy achievements and set some personal short and long term goals. This information as well as some of their pieces of work are shared with parents and a panel of 2 staff members. This provides an opportunity to celebrate their progress and to look to further develop their skills and abilities. If parents haven’t yet booked a time we encourage you to make an interview time through Sentral or call the school to book.
We sincerely hope you all enjoy the upcoming school holidays and maybe get a chance to enjoy some local travel this time.
